Here’s what you need to know from Tuesday’s White House briefing with press secretary Jay Carney, his first since President Obama’s Europe trip:

-- President Obama thinks he’ll get enough Republican votes to raise the debt limit, Carney said. His response when asked was: “Yes. Yes, definitely.”

I am pretty sure I know where Herman, Michelle, Sarah, Rick, et are going to stand on this!!

I believe the White House.

It’s just a matter of how much of our money the libs are going to promise the GOP.

We saw the same amount of fight in the budget fight.

Sadly enough, he can't just be slammed for being an ideologue slamming his foe.

History dictates that he is right.

This is one time when the president might not be lying.

I expect a few token concessions from the dems on the spending front, then a good cry from Boehner as he signs away some more of our children’s future.

The fix is in, I believe. The markets will be set to crash and all hell will break loose if the GOP doesn’t play along. At least that’s what the unspoken threat will be.

I hope I’m wrong and the Republicans stand tough and proud.

“House torpedoes unconditional hike to $14.3 trillion debt ceiling

By Russell Berman - 05/31/11 07:19 PM ET

The House overwhelmingly voted down an unconditional increase to the $14.3 trillion debt limit Tuesday, as the Republican majority delivered a symbolic rebuke to President Obama ahead of a meeting at the White House.

The vote was 318-97, with 82 Democrats joining every Republican in rejecting legislation that would have authorized $2.4 trillion in additional borrowing by the federal government. Seven Democrats voted present on the legislation.”

Friday there was a run on the banks in Greece. This is the beginning of the end, most European economies will collapse as the riots spread.

We in the U.S.A. still have time to get this problem under control. The Republicans, by refusing to raise the debt ceiling, are plugging leaks in the dike holding back the deluge.

They need our encouragement. We should let them know we want them to continue to oppose Obama and his plan to destroy America. We don’t have to end up like Europe (see below)

The marxists aren't dumb, they know that even after today's “political theater” with the sinking of the unconditional “clean bill” on raising the debt ceiling, sooner or later the republicans will cave with token “spending cuts” that will be meaningless in the overall picture.

The Federal Government is the enemy! Remove all of them and their career staffers or nothing will change. The only problem is, how to accomplish this necessity.

I think this country is in the ‘bring it on’ mode. We’re ready, we’re not Greece, we are fighting against becoming Greece. So I say, Bring it on! We’re Americans. We’ll hunker down, and we’ll prosper! Bring it on!
