I see a glimmer of hope here. The House negative vote was plenty more than enough to override an Obamuzzie veto of a spending cut bill. That means that if Boehner’s bunch can put together a serious cutting bill they would just need about 16 sympathetic dim Senators to completely overide any Muzzie veto. Sixteen! I gotta believe that’s doable. Which dim Senators are up for election in ‘012? These people need to be mobbed and otherwise shown a vision of “retirements future” if they don’t vote to control spending. Sarah Louise could help by calling these guys out from the steps of her bus. One of you in touch guys want to get the idea to her?

Risky schemes are what make the world go forward. Columbus had a risky navigation scheme. Nachshon ben Aminadav had a risky swimmming scheme when he jumped into the Red Sea and G-d made it split. Thomas Jefferson and John Adams had a risky scheme for the 13 colonies, and Menachem Begin had a risky scheme for “Palestine”. For every 100 risky schemes that land ass up in the mud, there is one that radically changes things for the better.

The vote Tuesday was 97-318, far below the two-thirds majority needed for passage.

Republicans held 242 seats after the 2010 elections, while Demonrats held 193.

82 Dems voted no, along with 236 Republicans. 6 Republican seats did not cast voters (including vacancies), and 14 Demonrats could not be bothered to cast votes (including vacancies).

What it means: 82 Demonrats think their chances of re-election are better is they break with Obama and the House leadership. 236 Republicans think that doing the right thing is more important than re-election chances.

And this means the Republicans should pick up additional seats in the House in 2012, and regain the majority in the Senate in 2012. Obviously, a strong candidate can beat Obama in 2012.

However, he is still strong enough in the Demonrat Party (in part because of his tactics in prior elections to spread dirt everywhere) that no viable candidate has announced to run against him. Unfortunately, counting Gingrich, Pawlenty and Romney, the same holds so far for the Republican Party. Palin and Cain appear to be the best potential candidates in terms of electability, but it's still early.

I’m ADD. “brainstorm” is my stock in trade. In my profession you’re a hero or fool. I fully agree with your post. I despise the LSM. They bully the truth. These days, they’re only correct by accident. The fifth column. The only reason I scrape them off my boot is because of their stench.

My blue healer just dropped a soggy tennis ball on my laptop... you know where that’s going... yup, out to the deck.

I know the answer to my own question. I was hoping someone else would pop up with the words.

Here’s my take: The political class in this country is composed of people from every alleged political faction that runs candidates. Dems, Pubbies, libertarians, liberals, communist, socialist, progressive, green etc.

All that really motivates these scum is group and individual politcal power. Political power is achieved via the high taxes these bastards use to buy that power. Therefore, it is not in their self-interest to really reduce taxes at any level. No siree, gotta have that umongous tax trough to feed from.

Hence, the little dance Boehner and Reid treated us to is really a set up. It’s objective is to ultimately raise the debt ceiling. The difference between the Boehner and Reid positions is this: Boehner thinks a fig leaf of fake gov’t spending cuts is necessary to mute the storm of mail he’s getting from citizens demanding spending cuts. Reid, on the other hand, thinks he can get away with raising the debt ceiling despite demands from citizens to the contrary.

It has become apparent to me that Boehner has done little in the time since the dems lost the House to challenge the Usurping Marxist pres. and his band of angry commies. A lot of talking around the bush and posturing on Boehner’a part. That is all.

Onandacare has not been defunded, abortion is still being paid for from public tax money, NPR is still receiving tax payer money, the economy is still in the tiolet (By the way, what has Boehner said about that so far?), the country’s energy policy aids and abets the destruction of the American economy, unemployment continues to rise, housing and manufacturing sectors keep spiraling downward, public education is being used to propagandize our children, the job of getting our dwindling astronaut corp into space is being given over to the Russians, our foreign policy is anti-American, our military is being ground to pieces in a war the politicians of every stripe do not have the will to win, out military secrets are being passed out to states hostile to the US etc., etc.

We all watched the Marxist train coming. It’s here, and we continue to field RINO and worse candidates.

This next pres. election cycle will determine whether or not a political solution to our pain is achieved with the ouster of the usurping Marxists—or the revolution card must be played.

Tea Party conservatives will get one shot at getting elected and fixing the country. It is imperative to retain the House and win the Senate and presidency. If we don’t America is in for some very severe weather.

That is cute. It must have taken you all day. But when you have 99 days of welfare, what is there to do? But well done.

Let’s put it this way: if the Heritage Foundation or Cato haven’t got one that will work all ready for Congress, I’d be very surprised. If after Congress votes on it the Congress doesn’t pass it within a week, I’d be very surprised (this is one the conservatives AND most independents will press hard on). If after it reaches the states, it takes more than a year to pass, I’d be somewhat surprised. This is one of those fast-track kind of things that would be pushed hard by the right. But the states would be the stumbling point.

However, if the time frame is really a problem, consider how long it took the left to get us to this point...a little over 220 years. At least an amendment would prevent it from happening again.
