Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu spoke during Tuesdays Jerusalem Day celebration at the Mercaz HaRav yeshiva in Jerusalem. As he entered the Beit Medrash, over a thousand students sang the words with which Moses blessed the tribe of Binyamin: "And to Binyamin he said: Beloved by God, he will dwell in security."
The head of the yeshiva, Rav Yaakov Shapira, welcomed the Prime Minister with warm words for his forthright speech in the US Congress, adding that our "roadmap" is the Bible and that all of the land of Israel stems from Jerusalem and has the same indivisible status as the hoy city.
Netanyahu started by recalling how the government ministers sit during their meetings and browse through letters and other reports. He noted, however, that one minister browses through the Tanach and sometimes the Talmud. That minister, said Netanyahu, is Justice Minister Yaakov Neeman.
For Neeman, public service is holy work, said Netanyahu, and as such, from time to time he shares with me something new that hes found. So Im happy to be here with him and many other great people such as the Chief Rabbi of Israel, Rabbi Yona Metzger, the former Chief Rabbi of Israel and current Chief Rabbi of Tel Aviv, Rabbi Lau, Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat, and Rabbi Yaakov Shapira who heads the Mercaz Harav yeshiva.

The mayor of Jerusalem was on Glenn Beck’s show a week or so back. He was saying that polls show that even an overwhelming number of muslims in the city prefer Israeli control.
Seems that stability means prosperity.
I thank G-d for Bibi every day.
If youd like to be on or off, please FR mail me.

Onward Israel
Perhaps it’s time to build the Temple, Bibi. Dismantle that ugly arsed dome and ship it over to Jordan.
We Pray for Bibi every day here on FR.
As we pray for the peace of Jerusalem, we remember to ask G-d to continue to bless Bibi with wisdom and courage to do the right thing.
Bibi has returned as a HERO to a HERO’S WELCOME. He did the right thing by standing up to both Obama and to Abbas.
Thanks Eleutheria5. The Demwits and their media shills have three choices — they can shut their mouths about the entire subject, which is probably their safest option; they can keep pushing Zero’s Jew-hating agenda, which would be preferable, since it will undermine their public support; or three, they can stop trying to herd Jews into boxcars and repudiate Zero, the anti-Israel beeotches in his administration, and their own who won’t join the repudiation. The last would be least desirable (for us) from the standpoint of the 2012 election.
Amen
was it the Avram Fried song?
God Bless Bibi
Be careful that you don’t lose sight of the fact that he’s first and foremost a politician, both motivated and limited by political considerations. I’m highly selective of whom I call hero, and Bibi ain’t it. He did good, but not because of any alleged heroic nature. He was given no other option: Either continue to give more and more to his country’s sworn enemy and have the bullies abuse him for it, or stand up to the bullies and at least be respected and in power at home.
But, for your gentle correction, give Bibi CREDIT for standing up to Obama who not only wants to throw Israel under the bus, but also have it thrown into the sea.
Yes. I give him credit. His desire for self-preservation won out over his desire for approval abroad. When Hebron is annexed into Israel and Jews are allowed in every part of it, I’ll forgive him. In the interim, he gets credit when he does right, and “there he goes again” when he sells us out. He did right. Credit. Chaching.
