One killed, seven injured during police-involved shootings on South Beach

Four bystanders were shot and three officers wounded on South Beach Monday morning in a deadly police-involved chase and firefight on Collins Avenue.

Apparently the vehicle driving down the street was shooting out the windows of the vehicle, and the cops opened up on the vehicle killing the driver...It’s not very complex.

Any reason why the occupants were doing that? How did they get the vehicle to stop (seems to me a motorcycle was involved)? What prompted the final barrage (suicide by cop at that point)?

Or, the vehicle attempted to run over a cop, they opened up, and the vehicle came to rest, and then they opened up again with what appears to be about 70 rounds into the vehicle.
