Is that why they call them illegals? Are they not commiting a crime not adhereing to our laws. Am I missing something?
Entering without authority or in an improper manner is illegal. Per the statutes, once the “illegal entry” part is over, simply being here without authorization is a civil infraction.
Really, really stupid, but that’s how the federal statutes currently read.
