Illegal = forbidden by law or statute which leads one to the synonym: criminal which describes actions not in accord with law.
It is a crime and should be punished and handled as such.

If we ever did ship all the illegals back to wherever they came from, I am thinking that about 12 inventions would be all it would take to fill in the labor vacuum; various types of picking and harvesting equipment for fruits and vegetables,etc.
