Not quite...they do obsess over her, I believe that it is rooted in fear. The fear that they cannot afford to let her make a connection with the voters without their "supervision/ridicule/commentary". Anyone who even offers a word of encouragement to Palin must be a slack-jawed "bitter clinger" with a sloping forehead.
