In the aftermath of US President Barack Obamas May 19 speech on the Middle East, his supporters argued that the policy toward Israel and the Palestinians that Obama outlined in that speech was not anti-Israel. As they presented it, Obamas assertion that peace negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians must be based on the 1967 lines with agreed swaps does not mark a substantive departure from the positions adopted by his predecessors in the Oval Office.
But this claim is exposed as a lie by previous administration statements. On November 25, 2009, in response to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahus acceptance of Obamas demand for a 10-month moratorium on Jewish property rights in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, the State Department issued the following statement: Todays announcement by the Government of Israel helps move forward toward resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
We believe that through good-faith negotiations the parties can mutually agree on an outcome which ends the conflict and reconciles the Palestinian goal of an independent and viable state based on the 1967 lines, with agreed swaps, and the Israeli goal of a Jewish state with secure and recognized borders that reflect subsequent developments and meet Israeli security requirements.
In his speech, Obama stated: The United States believes... the borders of Israel and Palestine should be based on the 1967 lines with mutually agreed swaps, so that secure and recognized borders are established for both states.
That is, he took the Palestinian goal and made it the USs goal. It is hard to imagine a more radically anti-Israel policy shift than that.

If Obama gets re-elected, Israel best go to war. The rest would be history, as far as the President is concerned. He supports Isalam, that is evident.
Let us hope their American counterparts remember this in the election, they help put this guy in.
He and Samantha power are not leading israel anywhere, they plan on destroying it.
It’s funny how easily Bibi put the dirty moslem in his place. Just by stating “Look, we can’t do that because the 1967 borders would be indefensible.”
It’s so simple, Odiaperhead didn’t know how to react.
It has not been pointed out enough that Team Obama announced prior to his speech at the State Department that he would be breaking significant news. Only after the speech blew up in his face did the story change to claiming that he just reiterated long-standing American positions.
Worth repeating!!!
Over and over again!
And Israel the ONLY reliable ally we have in the Middle East.
Way to go, Premier Hussein...
And I am sure that all my Jewish (former) friends STILL SUPPORT Obozo. Heartbreaking.
What is going on with Israel’s media? Has it become infiltrated with the enemy? Read this disturbing paragraph from the article:
“The fact that polling data showed that only 12 percent of Jewish Israelis regard Obama as pro-Israeli and that the overwhelming majority of the public with an opinion believes Netanyahus visit was a success made absolutely no impression on the media. The wall-to-wall condemnations of Netanyahu by the Israeli media lend the impression that Israels leading reporters and commentators are committed to demoralizing the public into believing that Israel has no option other than surrender.”
Hey Jews. Don't feel singled out at his hostility towards you. He's hostile towards Americans as well.
In my opinion, he’s just as hostile to the USA.
I live in Venezuela. For years, I though of seeking asylum in the USA. Of course, those thoughts ended in 2009.
Be sincere with me: what are the Republican chances in 2012?
I wonder if Israel will accept a non-Jew Venezuelan asylum seeker... I hear the tech industry there is top notch with lots of good jobs available.

Better than ‘08...unless we allow the state run media to slam another rino like McCain on us. Welcome to Free Republic.
If Pharoah Obama gets another term, we and Israel are done.
I think the filthy moslem has perhaps realized what Mossad will do to him if he keeps this up.
Omoslem has run out of friends. All he’s got left is Bill Ayers and SEIU. And Soros. And a few Commies.
As of today, slim.
But November 2012 is still a long ways away.
Every day I pray that this nation is delivered of this 0bamanation. I have no reason to believe that my prayers, and those of millions of others, will not be answered.
