PULASKI COUNTY, Mo. (May 23, 2011) When a New Years Eve tornado struck Fort Leonard Wood, donations poured in to help numerous soldiers and families who lost their homes even though nobody was killed. Less than a day after a major tornado struck Joplin and killed at least 89 people, Pulaski County Presiding Commissioner Gene Newkirk, Pulaski County Sheriff J.B. King and Pulaski County Ambulance Director Gary Carmack announced that theyre working to send emergency supplies as well as trained personnel to provide emergency relief in Joplin.
