Vanity: Memorial Day from Lorraine American Cemetery in France

Over ten thousand graves of those who fell in the battles to defeat Germany.
The wall of names of the soldiers who were never found.
In the rows of markers.
The challenge to the living generations of conservatives, will we answer the call in these perilous times our nation faces?

These photos from Lorraine American Cemetery in France, were taken by Lakeshark, who wrote, that "it's the largest WWII cemetary in France, and quite overwhelming to visit."
He asked me to post the photos for Memorial Day for everyone to remember our fallen, the ones who gave it all.
Many thanks to Al B. for making this posting possible!

Thank you very much, Admin Moderator. You're right: Lakeshark’s “beautiful pictures are worth a thousand words and prayers..”
Lakeshark will be humbled. He was so very moved by his visit to Lorraine American Cemetery.
The goodness of our Republic still lives. We just have to recapture it politically and we shall.
God bless our patriots and never forget our fallen and their sacrifices.

HalfFull ping and Happy Memorial Day!Thanks. Was just finishing up the mini-series "War and Remembrance". The films of soldiers storming Normandy, with many falling, still chokes me up. Special blessings to our those soldiers who gave their all.
