While I agree that Alaskans (those who are sane, not that I'm exactly convinced by the latest senate race there...) would understand and probably appreciate what she did, how do you imagine this would translate to the other 56 states as Obama might put it?

All they heard of the matter, for the most part, was whatever the MSM decided to spoon feed them, and what they heard was ‘ethics charges’, ‘misappropriation of funds’, ‘favoritism’ and ‘abuse of office.’ Most times, when they hear that down in the lower 48, it generally means someone’s guilty, and then in exchange for dropping charges, the person shuffles on off.

Not trying to derail the campaign, just think that if she comes through the primaries unscathed on the issue, it'll be front and center come the general. As for Obama’s qualifications, let's be honest, he was black, not Jessie Jackson, a Democrat, and could read a teleprompter. Those were all the qualifications required when a lot of voters were faced with the idea of Bill Clinton going back into the White House in the primaries, or John McPain’s brilliant strategy to attempt to lose each and every state in the general election.

And let me tell you, as bad as Obama is, having a liberal in the office that actually knew how to work the system and has a deep habit of supporting liberal causes in exchange for oohs and ahhs from the mainstream media? I'm very glad that McPain lost the election.

We'll see how it all plays out. Palin’s got a lot of skill in inspiring people, but up against the teleprompter in chief, I really think she needs much more in her pocket. I'd love to see her turn the campaign into a national referendum on a solid conservative budget, as I think it's a winning combination at the moment, but fear that it'll be inspiring vision vs inspiring vision, and no one’s going to try to actually give the voter a real choice this go around.

I don't disagree with you. I too am glad McCain didn't win. He was just a more incremental step toward socialism.

We'll have to see what happens with Palin. I'm not one looking for Reagan, nevertheless I see him in her. He raised his message above the MSM with only the Big 3 carrying the news. With new media I think Palin has a very good chance of getting America to hear her message.

My biggest worry for Palin is women. I know many conservative women, and they're split. Half of them love Sarah, half of them are wary. As a woman I can tell you that little girls are in many ways, large and small, conditioned by society to believe men can do things women can't. My parents taught me that unless his privates or physical strength were necessary for the job that wasn't the case, but my raising is an exception to the rule. American women have to get over their own misogyny

Women over 40 have elected every president since granted the right to vote. If the women will look past her genitals and listen to Palin the politician she'll win. If they won't she won't.

As for the teleprompter, he doesn't get one in a debate. Remember he wouldn't debate McCain on the trail? I'm sure that's why. I watched Sarah in the Alaska debates. She's very good on the fly, and will eat him for lunch if she gets the chance.

In the end 2012 is a no-brainer election. Obama must go. If we end up with a RINO we'll deal with that problem when it comes. And though Palin’s my preference the bottom line is anyone but Obama.
