Bad teeth is not just a UK thing. I found the same in Spain, Germany, France and Italy. In fact I was rather appalled at how bad their teeth were overall. Dental care in Europe just does not seem to be a high priority.
It is a well documented medical fact that poor oral hygiene can shorten a person's lifespan.
