I suggest that every Texan thank the poll worker who asks for your ID on election day.

Just say “thanks for checking my ID.”

I suggest that every Texan thank the poll worker who asks for your ID on election day.


It will be interesting to see this work for the first election or two. I’ve used my drivers license as my means of voting for several years now. I just hand it to the clerk and if it matches the voter role info as it does they then let me vote.

Think we’ll ever see it in NY?

Problem is, those who are cheating will just fill out absentee ballots. Those need to be addressed as well.

I’ve worker the polls here in Texas for the past 3 elections, and I must say, a good number of people show both their registration card and drivers license, and when they’re told they don’t need to show their ID, they’re in disbelief. And I’m with them.

Glad this was passed, and I really hope his doesn’t get struck down by some liberal judge before next november.
