It’s not about agreeing 100% on 100% of the issues. There are no two people who agree 100% on 100% of all issues.
What it is stating is that if you push non-conservative values and candidates here, that are pushing agendas that are not conservative, and family-oriented, it’s not going to go on very long before it’s shut down.
And the examples he listed are hardly gray-area issues.
Abortion. It is not a conservative position to support abortion. No gray area. It is literally life or death of people.
The Homosexual Agenda. It is not conservative to be pro-homosexual, pro-sodomy, pro-pervert. It is offensive and vulgar that they try to equate what they are trying to pass off with abnormal and twisted pairings of people to say they are “families” just as equal and good as the biblical family structure.
Big government. It is not conservative to want ever increasing, ever controlling, ever intrusive state and federal governments. More and more agencies and bureaus and units that are unelected and unaccountable that do not give two sh1ts about the problems they create for citizens with no threat of reprimand or removal for abuses of power. It is not conservative to support such governments that hate the successful, use the tax code to punish that success and legally take their earnings and give to pet protected classes they do like. It is not conservative to be pro-socialist, pro-marxist, pro-communist much less be supporting any policies these ideologies promote at their core. It is why crony capitalism is despised by true conservatives, because that is just targeted, preferential socialism (fascism).
So when someone who runs a conservative, family oriented site says they aren’t going to support candidates who do not adhere to conservative positions on these issues, or let their site be used to bolster these types of candidates, why are you surprised such a statement would be made by the site owner?
But these "moral absolute threads" are filled with posters who jump to conclusions, get all excited and ping their buddies when they think they have ID'd another Godless, homosexual-loving, libertarian drug addled poster or whatever. Plus they have to have the last word on everything you post.
I agree with much of what they say, but I don't think I'd like hang out with them in person. The feeling is probably mutual.
