We’ve had people push “they’re born that way”, we’ve had people push the “It’s genetic” line, we’ve had people push all manner of excuses and falsities on the issue.
And when people call them on it, they get angry and sulk.
The post I was responding to was one of the latter.
“Weve had people push theyre born that way, weve had people push the Its genetic line, weve had people push all manner of excuses and falsities on the issue.”
I think what we have to be careful of is distinguishing when someone is honestly questioning those types of issues and/or ‘advocating’ in favor of those issues. I have questioned some of the very same issues years ago, but have not ‘advocated’ in favor of them. Like I stated..FR has helped me to clarify my own ambivilance on many issues over the years. I have learned alot from my fellow freepers. By saying that I thought it was clear how much respect I have for Jim,my fellow freepers and this forum.
