You may have seen this before, but the video is priceless.... and timeless.
Obama is proposing a toast to Queen Elizabeth II during this week's state dinner at Buckingham Palace. He prattles on for about 2:45 then begins to get serious about the toast.
However, when he mentions her by title, the band strikes up the UK National Anthem, as they should. All attendees immeditely stand "at attention," troops salute, etc. But Numbnuts prattles on and on as the band is playing "God Save The Queen," and no one else picks up their wine glass.
Camilla and Phillip can hardly keep a straight face, and the Queen's expression clearly says "we are not amused."
Finally, he finishes, but the band keeps playing and playing and finally, when the band stops at the end of the national anthem, QEII picks up her wine glass, everyone joins her, and NN has a huge "Oh, I screwed up again" look on his face.

...and if you read the press on this, the Queen tried to do a “dry run” using her past experience with this idiot....but noooo..anywho, it is priceless and we should spread it around like wildfire. The MSM won’t do it, so we need to!

I wouldn't direct any blame at the protocol staff. The State Department and the White House both employ professional protocol officers. These people are paid to know what to do and how...and to fully brief the President and the First Lady on such matters.
It is evident that neither is listening. Or even wants to hear what the protocol officers have to say.
