John Edwards could have been president
San Francisco Chronicle ^ | 5/26/11 | Debra J. Saunders

Politico reports that the U.S. Attorney in Raleigh is getting ready to indict John Edwards on felony campaign finance charges. This might be a good time to remember that -- after all the bellyaching about John McCain picking the dangerous Sarah Palin to be a heart-beat from the presidency in 2008 -- that John Forbes Kerry did likewise with Edwards in 2004.

the headline would have read...”The failed Presidential and Vice-Presidential candidate John Edwards, disowned and estranged husband of recently-deceased Breast Cancer victim...”

Just talked to the secretary of one of his attorneys and told her about Hillary’s campaign finance fraud — the greatest in history by far. Yes, nothing was done to her. As much of a jerk as Edwards might be, how can they go after him for a rather small violation and let Hillary completely off the hook? Selective prosecution?

Edwards’ case is a perfect example of the incompetence or outright intentional bias of the news media, in their failure thoroughly to investigate and vett this slimeball during his candidacy.

Utterly biased, or desperately incompetent. There are no other possibilities. News media, which are you? And what will you do about it?

...the dangerous Sarah Palin...

The fact that the enemy runs newspapers is the real story.

A very good point. The same media that takes "Palin's faked pregnancy" seriously never bothered to look at Rielle Hunter's real pregnancy until the National Enquirer shamed them into it.

Maybe to Conservatives. But, remember that Liberals (being completely unschooled and emotional) place tremendous importance on ‘appearances’.

They LIKED him!

Actually, that is a lot of why they liked “O”. HE had the generic ‘minority’, pre-packaged look of an item stamped out in the thousands by a machine.

Seamless, smooth and slick as guy in a white bread ad... Edwards was their Ra Ra Bula Bula, American … AND “O” was their anti-septic and non-specific, bloodless, soulless, culturally mute, minority candidate decoy duck.

When you dummy down education to the extent that we have in America, you can’t expect ANY discernment from voters.

If locked up, I expect he will hang himself in protective custody or be raped repeatedly, then beaten to death in general population.

There, fixed it.

Is it even possible to be elected or have a chance with committing felonies to raise the $500+ million they need now? Doubt it, but some don’t get caught. Even Edwards could have escaped very easily if not for PR

John Edwards could have been president

As big a crook, con man and liar as he has proven to be, he still can't compete with the kenyan usurper with mob ties.

Had the Kerry-Edwards ticket won in 2004, Edwards’ life would have been different as the incumbent VP, and he might never have gotten involved with Rielle Hunter. So the affair isn’t really his fault but the fault of all of us who voted against him in 2004.

He’s a lying, scumbagging whoremaster.
And if that’s not enough, he’s also a lawyer.

But would that be worse than the crack smoking, bi-sexual, American-hating, muslim loving, pro-black racist, socialist, KGB mole that we have now?

That complete idiots like this can rise to the very top of the Democrat party tells you absolutely everything you need to know about Democrats.

The media sat on the scandal preventing Hillary from winning the Iowa Caucuses which would have eventually given her the nomination.
