Why do I do it?
The problem is that anything and everything he says can be explained away as misremembering, differences in interpretation of the truth, and flat out lies. None of those are show stoppers for a politician. What? you're going to be shocked that a politician lied??? You'd be laughed out of any political meeting!
Proving he is not a 'natural born citizen' (or even a citizen at all) is an absolute show stopper. There is no defense, no plan B, no possible recovery from such a revelation. It the the wooden stake, the silver bullet, the garlic, cross and gold kryptonite. It politically kills this particular monster forever.
If we can prove to any reasonable person that he is not Constitutionally qualified, it would have a very high payoff, not only would it eliminate Obama, it would perhaps fatally damage the democrat brand.
Feel free to engage in whinging on that Obama is acting like a stupid politician. You might keep him from getting reelected, you might not. Either way you will be fighting the same battle over and over and over again as long as ether of you can draw a breath.
Even when he terms out he'll become the honored Carter of the next two generations of liberals. Unless he's proven a fraud a traitor and a laughing stock.
Stopping that is worth the effort.

No, it's not. You guys are acting like Obama is subject to some kind of ritual spell that will rob him of his magic powers if you perform it right. Like the right magic words will make him disappear.
Obama won the election. He wields the full power of the State, with the consent of the courts, the congress and the opposition party. He'll continue to do so, unless he loses the next election, or at the end of his next term. He doesn't care about the law, and he has convinced a large majority of people that he is more or less qualified to be in office. For every reasonable person you find, there's two more that either don't care or that find the idea of disqualifying their sitting president on esoteric technical grounds to be distasteful and abhorrent.
The system itself will close ranks to protect him and to cover their own mistake. Nobody is going to 'make' Obama step down until his term(s) are up. Just the opposite. This line of attack allows Obama to renew his Race Card Points, which makes him all the more difficult to defeat.
It's 2011. Racial politics trumps the Constitution. You don't have to like it, but that's the world we live in.
