P.S. Speaking of vacation spots, also read that one of the reasons Egypt’s economy is disintegrating so percipitously is that the tourist trade (which, duh, depends in large part upon security) is totally falling apart there.
“Harsh” will be about the nicest word one will apply to the next Arab-Israeli war over there. Because once in such a war, there will be no turning back and Israel will have to demonstrate nation-destruction upon someone. My grand allegorical predictive vision is that the Arab nations will unite out of this bogus “Arab spring” into all-out war preparations against Israel in what will be billed as a pan-Arab, Nasser-like vision of a war of extinction. Roughly around the time of our 2012 elections, Israel will be faced with multiple armies massed on its borders and the choice of whether to wait for the first major attack or to preempt. And to top it all off, from that state of mortal peril for the state of Israel, American Jews will awake from their stupor and swing the 2012 elections away from 0bama. And thereby save the US. Hey, dream big, I was always told.
After said war, my subtle suspicion is that one or more Arab nations may well cease to exist. Most notably, Syria.
