I remember once ending up inadvertently being in the middle of a lesbian club meeting (I was reading in the room where they were to meet).
To make some small talk I mentioned the book I was reading to one of them. She told me she didn’t read books written by men.
I was young at the time. That was an eyeopener for me.
“She told me she didn’t read books written by men.”
