I lost hope with the 2010 House results immediately when it became clear Boehner would not fight. Plus Senate races from DE to NV just overruled the House results.
Whine, whine, whine. Boehner pushed the Ryan plan through the House which included Medicare reform. That was politically incredibly bold and risky and may have cost us this seat. The Republicans control 1/2 of Congress. That's it. This House has passed plenty of good legislation, but there isn't much we can do without the Senate and White House.

The lesson in DE and NV is to nominate good candidates, not characters like Angle and O'Donnell who had little to no chance to win. When I say good, I mean someone who can actually win. It isn't enough to be right on the issues, you have to actually be able to persuade a majority of voters to cast ballots for you (something Angle and O'Donnell could not do).
