My late brother was a homosexual, and when I found out, I questioned my own sexual identity. One of his friends kissed me (I was 18), and that settled that for me. As beautiful as she was, it went over like a lead balloon. We’re talking zero interest on my part.

I was delighted, and I met my first husband shortly thereafter.

This story illustrates the effect that a homosexual family member can have on even a younger sibling. Brother was 12 years older.

My wife used to work with a woman who was sexually active, and then thought she might be gay. She picked up a lesbian in a bar, and when they got busy she realized she wasn’t gay. To this day I laugh out loud when I think of what was going through her head after that epiphany (while still with the other woman): “I don’t want to be here anymore” “What the heck was I thinking?” “I really don’t want to be here anymore”...
