Still keeping my options open, but McCotter immediately becomes my personal front-runner if he gets in the race.

He would defiantly liven things up. He is a doctrinaire Reagan Consevative and plus he is hilarious. I would vote for him in a second.

I really like Rep. McCotter a lot. Team him with Rep West and let the fun begin!

Well, he does look like one of the members of the Presidents of the United States of America.

Not well enough known. He’s pretty well known here in Michigan and at FR but not so much otherwise.
He gives a hell of a speech.

He’s an engaging guy. Frequently guests on “Red Eye” with Greg Gutfield. He’d be a huge long shot, but, hey, why not?

Michele Bachmann
Haley Barbour
John Bolton

Rudy Giuliani
Mike Huckabee
Jon Huntsman, Jr.
Gary Johnson
Thad McCotter
Roy Moore
Sarah Palin
Ron Paul
Tim Pawlenty
Rick Perry
Buddy Roemer
Willard Romney
Rick Santorum
Donald Trump
*Note: Those names in red are in the "I can't get drunk enough to vote for him" category.

A lot of FReepers will never forgive him for voting for the auto bailout.
However he and a lot of good conservatives voted for the wrong thing for the right reasons.

McCotter is AWESOME! Not sure he could make any waves though.
I’ve met the guy - a class act and funny as all get out.

Hands down, the coolest cat in Congress. Probably the smartest, too.
To: cripplecreek
Not his best moment, but probably a matter of survival in his district.

McCotter is basically a “cool nerd.” Not the smoothest looking guy, but cool as heck and funny.
Reminds me of myself a little. (my wife would argue the “funny” part)

He did what he had to do for his constituents. Had he not supported the auto loans, we'd have one less good conservative in Congress.
