“When our nation was debating the wisdom of invading Iraq, public opinion polls showed, at the time the Senate took its vote, more than three-quarters of the American people genuinely believed that the person primarily responsible for the attacks of September 11th, 2001, was Sadam Hussein, the then ruler of Iraq.

This is patent ahistorical bullshit. There was never a time when even a small minority of the American people thought that Saddam Hussein was primarily responsible for the 9/11 attacks. It was clear in the very early days that it was al Qaeda, based in Afghanistan, led by Osama bin Laden.

The Lefty revisionism is that Boooooooosh hoodwinked us into going into Iraq by lying about Hussein, and that we invaded because Booooooosh said that Hussein was responsible for 9/11. Bush never said it, and nobody ever thought that. It is staggering to me that, ten short years later, Algore thinks we are so ignorant of the events of those days that he is free to lie about it now.

We invaded Iraq because they were in breach of the cease fire that ended the first Gulf War and on the authority of 17 UN Security Council resolutions authorizing the use of force resulting from that breach. This was clear to everybody at the time. Algore is shamelessly lying about this now.

‘public opinion polls’ as such, are next to worthless...unless, you are YOURSELF Liberal.

I have said this before:

I used to work at a survey research center. I can assure you that legitimate survey businesses (and it IS a business) think themselves wholly ethical in seeking/receiving funding WHILE routinely writing/conducting the most prejudiced and unbalanced surveys you can imagine. It is done in many ways … from the choice of ‘words’ to the method of presentation. Examples:

• NO ONE (not the survey writer OR the sponsoring agency) challenges the tenor, facets or choice of ‘questions’
• ALL ‘possible responses’ will invariably make Conservatives appear as Liberals and not EVER fully or fairly represent Conservatism/Conservative views.
• There are NO ‘possible responses’ designed to impartially record Conservative views and SOME questions are framed with a premise which puts Conservatism in a negative light
• When/where Conservatives are free to express their Conservatism, the question is designed so that they must incriminate themselves and Conservatism by answering honestly

There’s more, but you get the picture. There are a lot of overpaid Ph.D’s. running around doing this stuff for a living who wouldn’t write or conduct an unbiased survey if their lives depended on it.

DO NOT trust surveys!!
