Herman Cain can’t possibly win in 2012 because he’s not famous enough.

It wasn't more than a few weeks ago that Cain detractors were claiming he had no chance of winning the nomination.

Any Republican nominee will have a chance to beat an incumbent President that only 42% of the nation believes deserves to be reelected. And, candidate with charisma and superior oratory skills has the best chance of beating him.

I’m saying right now that Cain has no chance of winning the nomination. But he’s not special in that regard. None of the candidates that no one knows are going to win the Republican nomination. Democrats often nominate a fresh face, Republicans don’t.
