It is sad. Probably a good portion of the IRS people are not crooked. They just do their jobs and follow the rules.
This year I got back a few extra hundred bucks because they caught a mistake I made on my returns, that favored me.
Hopefully in this case the crooks will get what is coming to them.

I'm glad to hear you got informed help from them that benefited you. When these type things happen it's easy to group all the employees together and I know you're right about good hardworking employees probably being in the majority.
