Churchill, huh?
I recently took an interest in Churchill. I’m not sure why. I downloaded an e-book of some of his speeches. It’s titled “Liberalism and the Social Problem.” I anticipated it to address liberal/leftist/progressive ideology and how to deal with those problems.
Unfortunately, the introduction written by the editor of the book bothers me greatly. It describes Churchill as a raging liberal. It makes him sound like he’d be a major player in the progressive war on reality we find ourselves in today. At least, that’s how the intro read to me.
I’m still going to read the whole thing. I figure I can let Churchill speak for himself.
That is because Churchill crossed the floor from Labour to Conservative. In his early years he was associated with the left, but eventually became one of the great Conservatives and great Britons of all time.
