It’s never going to happen, but that doesn’t mean it’s not Israel’s call.
P.S. I’m not suggesting Cain’s answer could not have been handled better. He proved he’s not an experienced politician, who would have blathered on for ten minutes without saying anything, but using lots of policy paper-speak.
That said, I hope Cain is at home now gathering a bunch of smart people around him to develop position papers because, like it or not, he’s going to have to navigate at least some of the roads the media put him on.
Just wish he had been spending the last several months doing this — BEFORE announcing and going on national TV.
That said, look at Newt, who has been at the media business for decades. He crashed and burned on the merits of his answer, not because he wasn’t sure what inside-the-beltway-lingo meant in a question.
Cain’s answer, on substance, was correct. It IS Israel’s call on whether they ever want to grant a “right of return.” We all, including Herman Cain, know they never will, but that doesn’t change the fact that it IS their call and it is right to recognize that it is their call.

Herman had no clue what the “right of return” was about, which means he couldnt have watched the joint statement where Bibi schooled Obama.
Big, big misstep, and I like this guy.
He will just suddenly have a slight hearing loss and require hearing aids, as did Clinton, for his last debate.
I don’t recall ever seeing him wear them since, and not one eagle eyed reporter has noticed.
