I am over 50 also and that is definitely not what we were taught at my school. Maybe you went to one of those excellent progressive schools? So you were taught if two illegal alien al qaeda fugatives had a baby in the United States and took the baby back to Pakistan, that this baby was then eligible to be president on his return to the USA? Right! Sounds believable to me. Or if a sworn enemy of the United States had a baby with an underage girl who was a United States citizen out of the country, that the child would be eligible to be president when he returned to this country? Right!

I hate to tell you, but your mind is playing tricks on you. It happens to a lot of us oldsters. You might think about getting some type of checkup that includes a test of your cognitive abilities. It is very unlikely that they taught you that in school, not even the most liberal progressive school; because neither of these scenarios makes any sense. You are making it up to fit what you want to believe now.

Answer just one question for me. Why did the Democrats make a big deal out of the circumstances of John McCain's birth if he could be born anywhere with just one citizen parent and still be considered natural born? Both of his parents were United States Citizens. His did was an admiral in the Navy. Either you are confused about what you were taught or your school and your parents didn't teach you right and wrong very well, because lying is considered bad by most of us.

By the way, I went to a normal public school in a working class suburb.

Oh, one more. The Democrats did NOT make a big deal out of McCain’s citizenship other than to assert that he was indeed a natural born citizen.

This is similar to what occured with George Romney back in 1968.

Regarding your other remark about “were you taught that two illegal...,” no, I wasn’t taught that explicitly. But I was taught that under nearly every circumstance, the law holds that people born in this country are citizens. I’m not aware of any strong case law indicating otherwise or that they are not also natural born.
