This subject often seems to turn into a debate between those of us who are 50 and older and the youngsters. Those of us 50 and older were taught in school that one of the constitutional requirements to be president was to be a “natural born citizen”. At my school we were taught that a “natural born citizen” was a person born in the United States with two parents who were citizens of the United States. We were taught that this was to prevent a person with divided loyalties from becoming president.

I have a hard time believing that a whole generation of people had this knowledge, and yet they said nothing until it was too late to do something about it.

It is very hard for me to believe also. It is even harder for me to believe that the voters were duped into electing a man raised and mentored by communists to the most powerful post in the world. Yet this and many other hard to believe travesties are true.
