Check out this fish I caught earlier this week. He had about a 6-inch shad sticking out of his mouth when I caught him on a fly rod.

Guadalupe river?
Man, I love fly fishing but never have done it in Texas.
The rivers up here are just mud ditches.
Looks like you had a good day

Caught on the Colorado River, east of Austin. The Guadalupe river is probably the best place to fly fish but it’s a winter thing. Too many tubers around this time of year. The Colorado and San Marcos rivers are better for summer fishing.

His dorsal fin is all tore up.
That some crazy ass bass.
They get real aggressive, I bet he was a hoot on a fly rod.
I got a 5 lber on time when a little blue gill robbed my worm. I was all pissed off and reeeled him in real fast muttering about having to bait the hook again, and Blammo! I see the bass open his face about the size of a softball and take that blue gill.
Holy Carp@! I was using 4lb test Holy carp!
Bass are the funnest fish to catch lb for lb

The bass really seem to go for those foam flies and poppers. I need to find a good place to buy some or learn how to make them myself.

lol!
Although the feathered turds are protected under the Migratory Bird Act, there is a nuisance clause that lets us pop those disgusting things. And if they don't qualify as a nuisance, then mosquitoes are merely a beneficial insect.
