I expect the reverie will be short-lived and end when the local governments find out how much appropriations have been cut and RAISE PROPERTY TAXES MORE and AGAIN.

First they raise appraisals even in a falling market then rates.

Your points are well taken but keep in mind that Texas is actually REDUCING spending over the next two years. An important FIRST apparently that shouldn't go without some kudos being passed around.

In any case, the closer to home the better when it comes to taxes and government meddling. It's a lot easier getting in the faces of local and county "authorities".
