Cains Fed resume bullet will go over extremely well to elite Republicans. If I’m Cain, I’d start trying to win over the Romney / Gingrich / Pawlenty / Daniels people. “The Kansas City Fed thought me elite enough to be Chairman. That’s better than Harvard Law, and a Law Instructor at U Chicago. The Fed. Chairman.” Populist types, people who would rather have less rather than more of the Fed, Cain might have trouble with.

I think you have the wrong definition of “Populist”.

Cain is right in line with small government Conservatives as well as large Corporate interests. Cain's term on the Fed., was not at all what you claim. He believes in a “Fair Tax”. Abolishing the IRS, and going with a national sales tax that everybody pays. Not just the middle 40%.
