Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu meets with US President Barack Obama at the White House. He bluntly told Obama that Israel would never go back to "indefensible" 1967 borders to make peace with the Palestinians. (AFP/Jim Watson)

Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu lectured President Barack Obama in his own office, warning him not to chase "illusions" of Middle East peace and opening a deep rift in US-Israel ties. Notice who gets fingered for opening the rift.

Asked whether Netanyahu was willfully misinterpreting Obama's remarks, White House spokesman Jay Carney said such an observation was "interesting." Ah, the new Obama sycophant talking point --- "Netanyahu deliberately misrepresented the President's remarks. Obama never said that Israel would have to retreat to the pre-'67 borders."
But he did. And we all saw the tape (or read the transcript). The "Obama was misrepresented" card isn't going to work.

Privately, White House officials appeared infuriated by Netanyahu's combative approach, ..Let me understand this? The group that asked the other group to commit suicide is infuriated that their idea was rejected? BHO and his clowns do not have a friggin clue........

Obummer finding that it's much easier to criticize (as he mercilessly did Bush)than to achieve anything. I can't help but entertain a bit of schadenfreude at the anointed one’s well-deserved discomfort.

Every single day that fool occupies the oval office, this country and her allies remain in grave danger. All of Western Civilization, in fact.

More than likely, they were wetting their pants in fear.
U.S. President Barack Obama meets with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the Oval Office of the White House in Washington May 20, 2011. Obama's call for Israel to give Palestinians territory it has occupied since 1967 stunned Netanyahu and pushed the leaders' thawing relationship back into the freezer. REUTERS/Jim Young

Netanyahu cleaned his clock. King Obama looked like the fool he is. This is just the beginning of our King getting his as@ kicked. The GOP should have seen now that this child cannot take a punch and is time to raise hell.

I heard Netanyahu’s remarks on the Mark Levin show. He is an impressive speaker, unlike our buffoon of a POTUS. Netanyahu spoke in strong measured tones, and left no doubt where he stood, while our boy king sounded and looked like a pouting college kid who just got trounced in debate class. Bibi Netanyahu will NEVER agree to such demands that would put his people and his country in slavery and death. I wish we had such a man as President. And every fellow American Jew I meet who still supports Obama will know my contempt.

Privately, White House officials appeared infuriated by Netanyahu's combative approach, .. They were probably shocked and infuriated at the notion of Jews resisting annihilation. In the eyes of this crew, Jews are supposed to be meek and subservient.

The White House insisted that it had never said that Israel should return to a narrow definition of its 1967 territorial lines. So we didn't hear what we really heard, WH? Seriously, these people are just P.O.'d it makes Obama look bad. Netanyahu messed with the optics! Damage control afoot. Imagine if this happened under W! Democrats would be cheering the foreign leader.
How does Palestine have a "contiguous" territory including the West Bank, Golan Heights and Gaza Strip without bisecting Israel?
