Newt Gingrich, whose campaign for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination has gotten off to a rocky start, risked fresh controversy on Thursday by suggesting that some illegal immigrants living in the United States "may have earned the right to become legal."

Gingrich has a problem of people being tired of hearing his know-it-all, ‘let my superior intellect and talking skills persuade you as I masterfully use my command of the English language and human psychology to bring it down to terms that you can understand at your everyman level’, lecturing voice.

Almost 30 years of that leaves not caring what he is going to say, we just want to escape him.

It's embarrassing, and I did used to respect Newt, at least on the issues he was talking about in 2008. Now, he has to crawl back to TV and radio shows, hat in hand, to try and explain his recent comments. He should just pull an Obama, and act like a petulant child while Bibi lectures you on reality, which is what happened today in DC.
