I was probably one of the few who wasn’t surprised, already knowing that during the campaign he refused to sign on to the Florida Personhood Amendment, and makes rape, incest and health of the mother exceptions on abortion.

From his own website:

“In the case of rape, incest, and “actual” endangerment of a mother’s health the decision truly belongs with a woman.”

I’m very sorry to hear this. I became interested in him very recently, and was hopeful, but this is simply unacceptable. What a shame.

Congressman West is pro-life, with the exception of rape, incest, and endangerment of the mother. in those cases, he believes it’s up to the mother, not the government.

i got this straight from his office.

sounds like a rational stance on the issue. it’s not pro-abortion and it leaves the choice with the mother.

but hey, thanks for trying to sling mud instead of discussing the issue i brought up.

that being CHARACTER
