Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with U.S. President Barack Obama in Washington on Friday, holding a closed door session in the Oval Office after which each delivered statements to the press.
The two leaders' comments come a day after the U.S. president's Mideast policy speech called for negotiations for two-state solution based on 1967 lines.
Obama opened the conference saying that the changes in the region such as what has happened in Egypt with the fall of Mubarak, are an opportunity for prosperity. He said that the 'Arab Spring' is a window for change, and that the United States plans to be closely involved.

"A watchdog" who bites the hand that feeds him by repeatedly spying on his "true friend" (as Israel does with impunity) can not be trusted. If you don't believe me, google Jonathan Pollard or AIPAC spy case. The worship of Bibi by some here makes Obama worship look tame by comparison.
BTW, your rationalization for giving welfare money from unwilling taxpayers to Bibi reminds me of Jesse Helms' claim that tobacco subsidies "made money" for the government or leftist claims that the TARP "made money."
The would of course include Reagan who gave buckets of money to all sides in the Middle East. If you want to blame someone for Arab welfare, you need look no further than advocates of Israel welfare. The two have historically gone together like hand-in-glove. One follows logically from the other. If you want to end one, you need to end it for both.

From Truman to Obama, both Republican and Democrat presidents and congresses have allocated sending financial aid to Israel for their defense. It is the right and moral thing to do. Israel has never requested U.S. troops to fight for them. Never. They fight their own battles but they need the money to fight the Arab world - with it's vast resources of oil money - that is dedicated to annihilating tiny Israel. A small nation (38th in GDP) that deserves to survive and that America helps, not only out of moral conviction but because of the implications of all-out war, possibly nuclear war, it is in our national interest to help Israel to fend off the incessant attacks on it's people. Most Americans realize that only a strong and well-armed military can do that and, while overall U.S. public support for Israel rises and falls, it remains worthy of our financial help. That Israel's Prime Minister rejected Obama's absurd demand that Israel consider withdrawing to it's 1967 borders was easily predictable. That he did so with a modicum of grace and civility was admirable. To airily dismiss the entire situation as a contrived 'show' is an example of political cynicism gone amok. To characterize U.S. financial aid to Israel and smear a brave and decent man, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, as a 'welfare' recipient is as unfair as it is ill-informed. A case of libertarian ideology - or just plain contrariness - trumping intelligent thought - and not for the first time.

A word of friendly advice. If you want a serious argument, don't jump right into the gutter and accuse your opponent of being "anti-Jewish." Believe it our not, not everyone who disagrees with you is an evil bigot!

Well....that’s a legtimate argument to make.....but it is still wrong. If if we end welfare for Israel (as well as everyone else) and let it do whatever it wants (my position), what is the likely result? It will finally be able to make peace from a position of independent strength. Folks here constantly complain that we are “dictating” to Israel but they undermine their own argument when they support welfare which, by its very nature, implies the right of the donor to dictate. If we end welfare for Israel (along with the Arabs), it will finally truly be a free AND independent nation which can “dictate” its own foreign policy in the region.
You definitely expouse the liberaltarian view. Unfortunately for you, that view remains in the minority.
