Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with U.S. President Barack Obama in Washington on Friday, holding a closed door session in the Oval Office after which each delivered statements to the press.
The two leaders' comments come a day after the U.S. president's Mideast policy speech called for negotiations for two-state solution based on 1967 lines.
Obama opened the conference saying that the changes in the region such as what has happened in Egypt with the fall of Mubarak, are an opportunity for prosperity. He said that the 'Arab Spring' is a window for change, and that the United States plans to be closely involved.

Obama keeps using the word “contiguous” in describing the Palestinian state. What does he mean by this. The Palestinian area wasn’t contiguous in 1967.
BiBi probably showed him the original copy of Obama’s birth certificate as opposed to the fake one Obama put out. Obama was putty in his hands after that.
Is that what we're calling back stabbing these days? All righty, then
God Bless PM Netanyahu.
Yes in a nutshell he informed the president that its not going to happen.

If they want older borders, I recommend about 970 B.C.
Zer0 has no clue that Netanyahu is giving him a reality check on a silver platter.
This was all a silly game for both Bibi and Obama. Bibi gets to beat his chest, thus sending his slavish American supporters into their typical rhetorical orgasisms. Obama gets to portray himself as a “man of peace.” Meanwhile, NOBODY talks about the giant elephant in the room: Bibi’s massive, and continuing, welfare payments from American taxpayers.
The status quo remains in place. Everybody wins from this charade, except of course the American taxpayer who pays for more and more welfare money for both Bibi and assorted Arabs.
Good post. The “Arab Spring” crapola is a total Obama/media fabrication. You’re right, it will end badly — with Iran dominating the Middle East. Just as Obama and the media desire.
Changing the border is like the cheating team moving the goal posts.
Bibi was PERFECT. While he looked like he was shaking Bozo’s hand, (so to speak) he was dropping a 50 gallon can of whoop-ass on him with the other!!!!!
Bibi set the game up on the table and told Obamao, hey these are the rules, do you want to play? If not im taking my board and going home. Yeah, thats right Bozo, I own the game and NOT you!
Don’t worry it is all a charade as long as Obama continues to regularly send the welfare checks to Bibi.....and NOBODY is even raising that issue.
This turd, in charge of the worlds most advanced military system... Thinks he is playing jacks in a parking lot, and the results shall have no matter.
I don’t think that ANYBODY in the administration (or the Arab world for that matter) expected any other response from Bibi. No one in the admin. is surprised or even disappointed.
The question is: what game are they playing?
” Call Netanyahu the bus driver because he just took Obama to school! “ =================
I certainly hope so. Haaritz certainly wrote an objective piece. Dare I say, oddly objective, given the dangers to Jews in Israel.
However, I am afraid Israel’s security depends so entirely on the US to such an extent that BeBe has to feel eerily boxed in when the US president starts talking “takings” of hard won land. Democrats federalized takings of land and parks in the US, but gee, we have parks larger than Israel.
I hope you are right!
