I’m certain Hillary shared with Obama how angry BiBi was after Bo set the border thing out there. Bo’s problem is he’s so bad a diplomacy and statesmanship he leaned on his street smarts and it blew up in his face.

In reality it is a frightening thing watching this President operate so poorly. He doesn’t understand the game at all...he’s playing street thug.

You can bet there they are all burning the midnight oil with the events planned ahead. And likely the phones have been on fire amongst all involved.

I agree with you. Hillary would know better than to pull a stunt like what Obama did this week. Obama is a poser on foreign relations and Israel cannot afford to pander to this.

Friday’s press conference was Obama trying to intimidate Netanyahu into capitulating, but he failed to realise that Netanyahu is playing for keeps. He has been in combat and with stakes this high he knew he had to respond forcefully and unflinchingly to Obama’s provocation making the 1967 borders the basis for future talks before they even start talking!

Whoever said that Obama’s speech was to soften up the UN for the Palestinian statehood vote was right. If the US was ready to talk about 1967 borders, then it would break the ice with some of the countries who were not comfortable with voting for a resolution that would recognize a Palestinian state on those borders.

Netanyahu does not trust anything Obama says and this slapdown reflected that. Netanyahu knew exactly what he was doing. Israel is feeling cornered and we all know what Israel is capable of if it feels cornered.
