DOA.
The Republican governor eyeing a presidential run in 2012 appears to be Minnesotas Tim Pawlenty. Pawlenty used his time at yesterdays roundtable discussion to cast himself as the modern Republican while casting aspersions on the traditional conservative message, calling for outreach to the new demographics, deriding the GOP for allegedly being 15 years behind in the use of the Internet, and calling for the party not to be led by a crank. Pawlenty appears to have John McCains penchant for attacking conservatives rather than those in the other party...Pawlenty in Miami was publicly angry, agitated, and even cranky, possibly because he found himself at odds with the far more conservative tone of every other speaker here. Hundreds of RGA members, who paid thousands of dollars to attend this Conference, wildly applauded red meat conservative pronouncements by speakers and not the more moderate and conservative-jabbing words by Pawlenty. And then theres his Palin problem, real or imagined, that hit the fan yesterday in front of the national media, possibly upon the insistence of Pawlenty himself, as the above-reported comments to CNN by an anonymous presidential aspirant indicate.

Ho hum.
He can’t help it, but he’s like watching paint dry.

I don’t know about this more moderate version of Pawlenty, but until now he’s been sounding more hard-line conservative than anything else. But who cares about which version he adopts? That’s his “ho hum” problem.

He’s just another squishy RINO who’s tacking right to try and weasel his way into the nomination. That’s all.

I can feel the excitement just building across the country for this dynamic candidate. Wake me up when he actually does something.

Call me a cynic, but I give it until the end of the week before the far left (aka the MSM) and the far right rip this guy to shreds because he’s either too conservative or took a non-conservative position at one point in his life.
It’s no wonder that guys like Clintoon and nObama win elections. The left, with their willing accomplices in the media, let these idiots get away with anything short of a dead girl or a live boy in their bedrooms. Meanwhile the conservative pundits are doing the Botswana traffic news (”RINO Alert! RINO Alert!!”) on anyone on the Republican side who isn’t 5 steps to the right of Reagan. And those who do pass muster are promptly labeled by the useful idiots in the media as “extreme”. Like it or not, there are HUGE pockets of America where Jon Stewart and Bill Maher are considered serious journalists, and Rush is “an entertainer”.
Heck, I don’t think even Reagan could get past this gauntlet of talking pukes on the fringes today.

A lively vp could only help him IF he gets the nomination. Unfortunately for him, first he would have to get the nomination on his own power. I don’t see any way...

JMO, but why should they “rip him to shreds”? He’s not an important enough factor to bother ripping.

Thank you. He must be quite dull then (I'm not all that familiar with him). What do you think of Mitch Daniels?

Pro-Life Gov. Tim Pawlenty Announcing GOP Presidential Bid Monday
Pro-Life, Pro Cap and Trade Gov. Tim Pawlenty Announcing GOP Presidential Bid Monday - There, I fixed it.
He already shot himself in the foot over his "previous" stance on cap and trade. There's a lot of things that are just as important as being anti-abortion.

Mitch and Tim could have a dull and duller contest between them. They also seem so very small in stature. I don’t know how tall Tim is but he just looks short. Mitch is clearly extremely short.
I care most about what they stand for and how willing they are to speak up for it. Daniels is famous for trying to soften the conservative message. He openly says so. Pawlenty has been speaking in a very conservative way, but one post says he sounded angrily moderate at his most recent speech.

No, there is not!
Without life, you can't enjoy any other liberties guaranteed by the constitution.
That being said, his stance on Cap and Trade is a no go!

He completey renounced his previous support of cap and trade. It’s not good that he ever supported it, but I will make sure to state the truth that he has renounced it, calling it a mistake, whenever it is stated that he supports it.
