It’s interesting to note, that several of the home owners paid good money to try to save their homes: $100 an hour to the workers.
Beats waiting for the government to pay claims. Very proud of the good folks in our state.
Did these people file an Environmental Impact Assessment before they built these dams, levees and dikes? If not, they are in serious trouble with the EPA.
They have altered their environs and most likely have caused irreparable damage to the ecosystem, probably killing the very last of the endangered three-eyed freshwater gobi.
Come to think of it, did the Army Corpse of Engineers file an assessment of what the effects will be on the ecosystem by flooding some 3 million acres of floodplain and farm land?

Dittos! The media really doesn’t know how to even cover the story now! There are no folks screaming about the ‘injustice’...no folks waiting for a government handout..no folks cursing God...nothing. Just folks doing what has to be done..protecting their families and property as best they can and leaving the rest in God’s hands. The media almost seems disappointed....lol!!
