I’ve lived in Clayton County and in Riverdale since 1980, in the same home. When others left we stayed for varied reasons and when property values went down, we had to stay until they got better.

We are near retirement so we don’t plan to move for a while. I take offense with the cesspool comment. There are very nice people in Riverdale. Where do you live that you know some much about Clayton County? It is true that it is not what it used to be but there are still a lot of nice people like us living here.

My inlaws lived in Riverdale until about 3 or 4 years ago. My wife lived there from 1984 to 1991.

After our marriage we visited their house numerous times every year since 1995.

I have lived in Metro Atlanta since 1978, and have seen all parts of the area, and have watched the local news.

I currently live in Forsyth Co.

I am quite comfortable with my assessment of the current state of Clayton Co's affairs. I am sure that plenty of decent people still there, and I'm sure that living there is not exactly like living in Mogadishu, but I stand by my statement in the general sense in which it was made.
