"3.) The prosecutors say that Mr. Strauss-Kahn "forced" the complainant to have oral and other sex with him. How? Did he have a gun? Did he have a knife? He's a short fat old man. They were in a hotel with people passing by the room constantly, if it's anything like the many hotels I am in. How did he intimidate her in that situation? And if he was so intimidating, why did she immediately feel un-intimidated enough to alert the authorities as to her story?
6.) People accuse other people of crimes all of the time. What do we know about the complainant besides that she is a hotel maid? I love and admire hotel maids....I am sure she is a fine woman. On the other hand, I have had hotel maids that were complete lunatics, stealing airline tickets from me, stealing money from me, throwing away important papers, stealing medications from me. How do we know that this woman's word was good enough to put Mr. Strauss-Kahn straight into a horrific jail? Putting a man in Riker's is serious business. Maybe more than a few minutes of investigation is merited before it's done.
7.) In this country, we have the presumption of innocence for the accused. Yet there's my old pal from the Ron Ziegler/ Richard Nixon days, Diane Sawyer, anchor of the ABC Nightly News, assuming that Mr. Strauss-Kahn is guilty. Right off the bat she leads the Monday news by saying that Mr. Strauss-Kahn is in Riker's... "because one woman stood her ground..." That assumes she's telling the truth and he's guilty. No such thing has been proved and it's unfortunate for ABC to simply assume that an accusation is the same as a conviction. .."

“How about, “Open your mouth and if you bite me I’ll rip your ears off.””
Likewise, a woman in that “position” is extremely vulnerable. Even without such a verbal threat, actually biting the guy would be extremely dangerous, as she could be badly kneed in the head, get her hair ripped out or even stomped on by an enraged fiend.
He shoulda spent a few bucks on a call girl.
Amen. Ben Stein is, like Newt Gingrich, a smart man who thinks he’s far more intelligent than he truly is.
Nope, you have to beg.
>> #3 is why I am 99% sure she is lying. You cannot force someone...
Are you suggesting a woman that fights back has lower standing?
This was no ordinary hotel room. $3000.00 per night gets you a large apartment-style “room” Probably well over 1000 square feet.
I buy the story. Innocent until proven guilty is a restriction on Government, not on me. I think he’s guilty, and I can say so all I want.
Ha...you need to read up on what Clinton did to Nurse Broadrick.
Its called the "Toon's Rape Grip"
Take a grip of the soft flesh under the victims nose at the upper lip
or in the toons case, bite into it.
Maybe where you hang out. But she is from Africa, where hetrosexual HIV is endemic, and most women get it from their husbands. Oh yeah. She is a widow, her husband died young. just saying.
Is that you, Rita?
No, I’m not Rita. Who’s Rita? A meter maid in a Beatles song?
I’m not convinced that Chandra Levy was killed by that guy. I think she was killed because she knew too much - either about the congressman or something she learned while doing an internship at the Bureau of Prisons. The person in prison has always maintained his innocence, not that that’s important.
BTW she was at the Bureau of Prisons when McVey was being held.
Personally I think the illegal murdered her, the prosecutor made his case. The jury agreed.
And Lovely Rita, not a meter maid, was the principal purveyor of the Condidit hysteria.
Setup.
Or feminine regrets.
