If senior journalist David Goldman is right, the correct word for describing the way a growing number of US Jews feel about President Barack Obama is not 'anger' but 'rage' white-hot rage, at that, and a conviction that they have been swindled.
Goldman, Senior Editor of First Things magazine and 'Spengler' columnist for Asia Times Online, spoke last week at a convention on intellectuals and terror at Ariel University in Samaria. In his lecture, he quoted a top Jewish campaign donor who used the word 'sociopath' to describe Obama. In an interview with Israel National News, he predicted a possibly dramatic 'train wreck' for the Democrats in the November mid-term elections, with Jewish fundraising for Democrats drying up and a possibly high turnout of anti-Obama evangelical Christians.
INN: The recent McLaughlin group poll shows US Jewish support of Obama at about half its level in the 2008 election. Is this an accurate reflection of the mood among US Jews?

Yogie Berra? Nobody more conservative than him.
His words, "I am so left, I belong on a NASCAR race track."
Seems to me many of the Jewish are easily swayed by smooth talking slicksters. Many WWI Jewish/German veterans supported the socialist and later the national socialist until they were stripped of their voting rights in 1933. By then it was too late.
I’m Jewish. Both of my grandfathers fought in World War I. My father was a Korean War veteran. His medals are on the wall of my office. The Vietnam draft ended two years before I was eligible and it was only due to my father’s intervention that I decided to go to college instead of going to West Point or the Air Force Academy, both of which had recruited me tirelessly. I imagine he’d seen enough death and horror for a hundred lifetimes and wanted something better for me. And although I’m an older guy now, I will still gladly fight for our Constitution should it come to that. And I can still hit a quarter at 100 yards with a .223 round (on a good day, anyway).
Oh, I so agree. It's the elite, superior, NYC, (or LA) Limosine-Liberal "think". And that thought process will NEVER change. Nothing else matters.
Good for you.
In the US, there are both a lot of liberal Jews who are leftists first, Jews second; lots of Jews who are not Jewish in religion; and also Jews who are conservative.
Relax, I have often to remind myself that there are soooooo many experts on Freeper, ha..and I appreciate their feeble attempts to tell what is.
Was your father drafted? In Korea in December 1952 63% of the soldiers serving in Korea were draftees, in 1953 59% of all Army enlisted of the total global service were draftees, during January of 1952 alone, more than 12,000 Marines were drafted.
During WWI 72% of the Army was draftee.
Vietnam was a mostly volunteer military.
My sentiments exactly
The Israelis, for their part, make military service mandatory, which has helped ensure their security, at least until now, when they are on the verge of being betrayed by their greatest ally, or rather, by the arrogant little bastard who sits in the White House.
That is great, it was a simple question, you pointed out that you did not enlist and seemed to offer not being forced to as a reason, I was just wondering if you were the first in your family not to volunteer for military service.
