You’re the only poster on this thread with a brain (besides me :)). A gun is a machine and thereby the more complex the more risk of a failure, plus requires more training. Your suggested handgun is simple to operate (pull the trigger and it goes bang) and almost fail proof and will shoot the 38spl which is good if a small person or woman.
