I thought the Arabs had such a chance at a very similar solution when Arafat was alive and he turned the US and Israelis down? He was to get something like 95% of his demands. So why does anyone think they would accept this solution now?

I see that sentiment about standing with Israel often, but what does it mean exactly, from our vantage point? OK, we stand with Israel while her enemies destroy her. Then we watch tv, grab a sandwich, take a nap.

It will become a "freedom fight" under the diplomatic cover of the USA. Terrorism will accelerate. Israel will be forced to retaliate...and Egypt, Syria and Iran will not be able to sit idle while Israel slaughters their proxies.

While they will lose badly, the Islamists will know they cannot resist the passions of their own crazy people and will have to retaliate back to Israel. Otherwise they would be deposed and hung.
