“I wonder how many conservatives will cancel their insurance. Probably not many.”
I found out about this a while back and canceled my policy with them. I had my motorcycle insurance with them for a while. I moved it to the same company I used for my home and car insurance and now I am saving over $300 from what Progressive charged me. With them my yearly insurance was $600. After switching to a better company I only pay $300.
SO, this is one “conservative” who did it. Progressive and Flo can kiss my fuzzy butt.
Those of you who are cutting personal costs down, becoming more self-sufficient, and therefore, have no payments to make on vehicles, use an insurance broker to get the lowest cost liability insurance. Pay no attention to which company is chosen for the time being by the broker, as that will change fairly often.
Most, if not all insurance companies lean to the left. Some of the oldest ones were funneling money to pro-divorce feminist organizations during the ‘90s.
I was originally insured with State Farm since 1965 when I was 14. Last year I switched to an independent insurance broker for a third of what I was paying State Farm. State Farm called begging and crying but said they couldn’t touch the price I was getting from the independent.
Now, get this. My daughter and her husband switched TO State Farm from Geico and got practically the same rate I got from the independent.
State Farm was willing to give a good rate to a new customer but wasn’t willing to cut the rate for a customer of 46 years.
;-D
I have never been a Progressive customer, but my wife was sideswiped by one of them a year and a half ago. It didn’t help that my wife didn’t call the police to file a report, but Progressive found her partly at fault and refused to pay a dime.
Money talks. He has it, people listen.
I am a current State Farm customer, and I plan to shop my auto and rental policies when my current policies are up. The initial rate I got was good, but they have jacked up my insurance rates every time I renew.
Call it truth in advertising.
I’ve always found their TV commercials annoying, particular that one lady. Of course I’ve long known about the organizations leftist tilt. Such a tilt is even self evident in their promoting of pet health insurance.(Perhaps an effort to put the pet healthcare industry in the same boat as the human healthcare industry.)
Incredible service and rates.

Anyone know how AAA leans?
There’s been much to admire regarding AAA.
She looks like what the people from my clubbing days in Chicago would call a poser. The music people said poser and the art people said poseur with a French accent. Which brings to mind a definition: PSUEDO-INTELLECTUAL: A person who uses the word pseudo-intellectual.
Yes, but they don’t have any funny TV spokesmen.
:-)
Good deal!

I did that, too, when looking at all of my insurance. Home and car were $2,400 with State Farm... been there for 20+ years.
Went to an independent... got policies underwritten by Metropolitan Life... same coverages/deductibles... $1,050... total.
It pays to shop your insurance around occasionally.
Never trust anything with progressive or fair in the name! :)
And Toyota’s “Moving Forward” is a clever combination of
“Move On” and “Progressive” to pander to the left. Nothing
against the company, I’d fleece every commie in the world
if I could too.
