Yeah, they forget about all those school taxes we pay for nothing! With all of the budget cuts I wonder how this woman thinks they can add an oversite department to cover homeschoolers when they currently get free money and don’t have to do a thing?
The problem one runs into in trying to replace the single payer schooling system is that socialized schooling is the biggest entitlement program in the country and far too many people do not want to give up having their lifestyles subsidized. This includes people who think of themselves as conservatives. They don’t want to give up their place feeding at the government trough.
In order to retain their handout they willingly put their children in the hands of classroom bureaucrats for 7 or 8 hours a day 5 days a week.
You are to be commended for accepting your responsibility and getting off the tax subsidy.
