The gender ratio in much of rural China is about 130 males for every 100 females. This is severely skewed due to their draconian one-child policy, enforced only until recently, combined with traditional Asian attitude towards male children. My cousin was lucky to find a wife in Shanghai since he’s hardly a prize.
The average ratio in the west is roughly 105 females to every 100 males.
