You would be surprised, however, at how many people have never seen the process, let alone had to do it, miles from anywhere, with cold, 'wet', hands and stiff from motionless hours in a tree stand. (My father would whisper, "Did you come to hunt or dance?" if I shifted a little.)
It's wicked cold, during deer season, and a 12ga. slug kicks hard when you're 12. Illinois didn't permit rifles for deer hunting. I don't know if they ever changed.
